Course Objectives...
To train the participants in the requirements of the Occupational Health & Safety
Act and regulations as they apply to their workplace, and to ensure the participants are familiar with their individual rights and responsibilities as well those rights of others involved in the Internal Responsibility System. Conducting workplace inspection, accident investigation and how to prepare a health and safety program will also be discussed.

- Duties of Employers, Supervisors, Workers and Certified Members
- “Competency” requirements
- The role of the Joint Health & Safety Committee
- The 3 rights of Workers
- Critical Injuries defined
- Enforcement, Offenses and Penalties
- Workplace inspections
- Accident investigation
- Developing a health and safety program
Recommended participants: Managers, supervisors and any person who has authority over another worker. A copy of the OH&S Act and Regulations is included in the program price.
